Commissioning Engineer
Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer looking for a new challenge in the water and wastewater sector? Our Portsmouth-based partner is recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to contribute to a variety of projects in the Wessex Water region (Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire).
As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in commissioning and interfacing equipment for water and wastewater treatment projects. With a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, you will collaborate closely with the Contracts Manager to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
What We're Looking for in a Commissioning Engineer:
- Industry-applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent.
- SSSTS, CSCS card, and 1st Aid trained.
- BS7671 17th Edition training.
- C&G 2394 & 2395 Inspection & Testing.
- Significant industrial electrical commissioning background.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Water & Waste Water Industry background.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Commissioning Engineer Responsibilities:
- Ensure the health and safety of the commissioning phase of projects.
- Develop client relationships for smooth project delivery and handover.
- Provide progress updates to the Commissioning Manager and address concerns.
- Ensure commissioning meets quality standards and best practices.
- Produce and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments for commissioning activities.
- Assist in producing commissioning plans, inspection test plans, and training manuals.
- Coordinate with the systems integration team for Site Acceptance Tests and Telemetry commissioning.
- Review P&ID diagrams and provide strategies for commissioning plant and equipment.
- Attend commissioning meetings with client representatives.
- Undertake Factory Acceptance Testing for major plant items.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors during on-site commissioning.
- Conduct or supervise NICEIC electrical installation testing to C&G standards.
What this is offering:
- £45,000 to £55,000 per annum DOE
